At First UMC we believe by connecting with one another we gather the support, wisdom, and encouragement needed to be faithful followers of Jesus. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find places you can connect with others. By joining a small group you can gather with diverse individuals for short term (semester/8-10 week classes) or long term groups (meet year-round).

Semester Small Groups
Semester Small groups meet for 6-10 weeks. The groups are much more than study places. They are places to connect with other Christians who are seeking to be followers of Jesus. Each group is lead by two trained leaders covering a wide variety of topics. We’ve had activity groups like “Biking” and “Exercise”; study groups like “The Bible and Current Events” and “The Holy Spirit”; bible study groups like “The Kings of Israel”; as well as women’s groups, men’s groups, and the list goes on. There are 3 semesters each calendar year (fall, spring, and summer). Each semester’s classes are published in print form and handed out during worship services and listed online. Registration takes place for 4 weeks prior to the beginning of classes. You may register one of two ways: Either visit our sign-up tables outside of every worship service or you may register online during sign up weeks.
